If you are feeling anxious or low, talking about it can make a big difference. I know how daunting it can be and perhaps a bit confusing too when making those first steps. It's important that you take your time to find the right fit for you. Using a compassionate approach, I aim to provide a calm space to allow you to explore, understand and overcome the difficulties you may be experiencing. You might be dealing with worries or feeling a bit lost. I can help you tackle these, one step at a time.
Feel free to get in touch to arrange a suitable time to talk. I offer a free, no obligation initial conversation to see if CBT is right for you. We can meet in person within the Glasgow and South Lanarkshire areas or via video link if this works better for you.
Call me on 07513 310988 or send me a text if you prefer.
You can email me at: Fiona.McCarthy2@outlook.com
I look forward to hearing from you
What is CBT?
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) focuses on the relationship between our thoughts, feelings and behaviours. It can help identify unhelpful patterns or habits that may be getting in our way. CBT is a highly effective type of psychotherapy that can be helpful in the management of anxiety, depression, stress and many common problems that we can face in our lives at any given time.

Can CBT Help Me?
The strategies used in CBT can be helpful for many different problems that we face in life. You will learn how to recognise unhelpful thinking styles and behaviours that may be keeping you stuck. Talking things through with a therapist who listens with empathy, warmth and kindness can help break those loops of negative thoughts and find new perspectives.
CBT is evidence based and recognised as the recommended treatment for a number of difficulties including;
- Generalised Anxiety
- PTSD
- Social Anxiety
- OCD
- Body Dysmorphic Disorder
- Depression
- Binge Eating
